Sky Catcher Communications said it plans to offer DVB-RCS services to the enterprise market in North America. Specific details on the packages that the company will offer have not yet been announced.

“The DVB-RCS platform has become the accepted standard for enterprise and government agencies in Europe during the past five years and it only stands to reason that this proven and reliable standard should be offered in the United States,” Sky Catcher CEO Don Thompson said in a prepared statement.

Sky Catcher said it is beta testing the service on the East Coast of the United States and said plans to offer services nationwide next month.
