In Demand Moves HD and VoD Distribution To SES Americom
SES Americom announced that In Demand Networks has moved InHD Networks and on-demand content delivery to the AMC-10 satellite. The specific terms of the deal were not disclosed, but SES Americom described the deal as a “multi-year, multi-million dollar” agreement.
Under the terms of the agreement, SES Americom’s HD-Prime satellite neighborhood is distributing the InHD and InHD2 high definition (HD) television networks, which feature live sports, movies, music events and entertainment specials to more than 47 million cable subscribers nationwide.
“SES Americom and its HD-Prime cable neighborhood provide In Demand with advanced and reliable satellites in the best locations, which will enable our HD and VoD (video on demand) services to reach more homes than ever before,” John Vartanian, senior vice president of technology and operations at In Demand Networks, said in a prepared statement. “As our InHD Networks and on-demand services continue to experience exciting growth, In Demand has the most dependable distribution network in place to meet subscriber demand.”
