Itar-Tass reported cited an official from the Moscow Thermal Machinery Institute saying that Russia is looking into the Svobodny spaceport in the Amur region of Russia as a possible launch site for Israel’s Eros 2 satellite later this year. The satellite will be sent into orbit on a Start rocket. Start rockets are used to put satellites into solar synchronous orbits. No details were given on when a decision would be made regarding the launch site.
