Euro1080, the European HDTV media company, has announced that Jean Stock is joining the company as strategic advisor. Euro1080 has been one of the pioneers of HDTV in Europe. Its HD1 channel is the first HDTV channel in Europe, and it can be viewed on various satellite platforms throughout Europe.

Stock has previously been Secretary General of the EBU-UER, the European Broadcasting Union, a post he held for three years between 2001 and 2004.

Gabriel Fehervari, CEO of Euro1080, commented, “Since the day he has seen the Euro1080 broadcasts he has shown a particular interest in the company’s developments. He is convinced that high definition television has a bright future ahead. Jean’s strategic advice will be very valuable for our young and ambitious project.”
