DigitalGlobe said Apache Corp. joined its Enterprise Partners Program, a mechanism that streamlines access to geospatial products and provides data viewing and ordering capabilities at the desktop. Apache will use the satellite imagery to enhance its oil and gas operations.

“High-resolution satellite imagery is valuable for a variety of uses in the oil and gas industry,” G. Steven Farris, president and CEO of Apache said in a prepared statement. “With the QuickBird satellite’s 2-foot pixel size providing high-resolution imagery, our global operations can now utilize the data for evaluating regional geologic features, locating well spots, planning seismic operations and mapping facilities.”
