Mobile Satellite Ventures (MSV) announced the appointment of Jennifer Manner as the company’s new vice president of regulatory affairs. She comes to MSV after most recently serving as senior counsel to Commissioner Kathleen Abernathy of the Federal Communications Commission. Prior to joining the FCC, Manner served in various business and legal roles at WorldCom, including director of international alliances, and as associate counsel in MCI/WorldCom’s legal group.

The company also announced the appointment of Lon Levin to the newly created position of vice president of corporate and international planning. He will assume planning responsibility for MSV’s new domestic and international initiative for its hybrid mobile satellite/ancillary terrestrial component service. Levin is a satellite industry veteran, with experience in the early development of American Mobile Satellite Corp., MSV and XM Satellite Radio.
