Itar-Tass reported Feb. 17 that a German military satellite, the first of five, is scheduled for launch in December. The satellite will be launched into orbit from the Plesetsk cosmodrome, Russia, on a Kosmos-3M launch vehicle. The four remaining satellites will be launched by March 2006, Itar-Tass reported. The specific mission of the satellites was not reported.
