Networkcar, a Reynolds and Reynolds company that specializes in tracking of trucking fleets and automobiles, said it is expanding its coverage area by offering satellite vehicle tracking in addition to its already offered terrestrial wireless tracking. The new satellite option enables Networkcar to track a vehicle anywhere in the United States.

“We have added a satellite option in response to growing demand from a select portion of our customer base,” Networkcar President Dave Dutch said in a prepared statement. “As terrestrial-based systems continue to expand coverage, the need for satellite does not impact most of our customers, but we feel it is important to provide a satellite coverage option for those customers with vehicles operating primarily on remote, rural routes.”
