Motient Corp. said it has closed a series of transactions with Telecom Satellite Ventures, Columbia Space Partners and Spectrum Space Equity Investors, the result of which increases Motient’s ownership stake in Mobile Satellite Ventures to about 49 percent. The company did not disclose how much was paid to acquire the limited partnership units from the respective sellers.
