Orbit Executive Confident Over 2005 Prospects
Orbit Satellite Television and Radio Network, the Middle East pay-TV operator is confident it will have a strong year in 2005. The operator, which offers digital television services across 23 territories in the Middle East and North Africa, hopes greater stability in the region will lead to an upsurge in demand for pay-TV. Ali Ajouz, VP of marketing and one of Orbit’s top executives told Satellite Today, “We are all looking forward to 2005 as long as no more wars break out. I think 2005 will be very positive for everybody. There will likely be more peace in the region and with that, there will likely be economic growth, prosperity, more disposable income in households, more propensity to buy goods such as pay-TV.”
An exclusive in-depth interview with Ali Ajouz can be found in the January 31st issue of Satellite News. For more information about subscribing to Access Intelligence’s satellite newsletters, visit us at https://www.satellitetoday.com.
