The U.S. Air Force awarded Boeing two GPS IIF contract options worth $172.3 million. The first award, valued at $143.9 million, is a modification to the existing Navstar GPS Block IIF contract that exercises the option to begin production of three satellites, which are to be completed by June 2008. The second contract, valued at $28.4 million, exercises an option for long-lead hardware for production of an additional three GPS IIF satellites.

“These award options indicate exceptional customer confidence in our work on the GPS program,” said Boeing Air Force Space Systems Vice President John Fuller in a prepared statement.
