Rocky Mountain News today reported that the U.S. Air Force has selected Lockheed Martin to launch a new spy satellite in 2006. According to the report, the launch will occur from Lockheed Martin’s new launch pad at California’s Vandenberg Air Force Base. The financial details of the launch contract were not disclosed, but the report estimates the value to be worth at least $150 million.
