Panamsat today said it will transition customers off Galaxy 5 onto Galaxy 12 on Jan. 10, 2005. The transfer window opens at 3:00 a.m. EST and will close three hours later. The transition brings to an end 12 years of service on Galaxy 5. The company said it does not anticipate any interruption of service during the transition.
