Vienna, Va.-based Tachyon Networks, a satellite broadband communications service provider for business and government users, is upgrading its network to deliver 512 kilobits per second (Kbps) remote transmission speeds to its European, Middle Eastern and North African (EMEA) customers. This enhancement would allow faster communications from remote work locations that previous had been limited to 256Kbps in that part of the world. The change was made in response to customer demand.
