SES Astra Acquires Majority Stake In Munich Teleport Operator

SES Astra entered into a binding agreement to acquire a 75.2-percent stake in Digital Playout Center (DPC) from German pay-TV operator Premiere for $50.12 million, subject to regulatory approval. DPC operates a teleport facility in Munich, and it offers services comprising play-out, multiplexing, encryption and satellite uplinks to private and public broadcasters.
