Officials from Worldsat and KT Corp. today said the companies have entered into a long-term framework agreement to provide telecom services in Northeast Asia via several high-powered, Ku-band transponders on the Worldsat-1 satellite. Worldsat-1 is located at 108.2 degrees East, and it has three beams covering Northeast and Southeast Asia, the Philippines, China and India. Worldsat is a wholly owned subsidiary of SES Americom.
