Space-based technology company OHB-System AG and Elop Electro-Optics Industries Ltd., a subsidiary of Elbit Systems Ltd. [ESLT], are planning a joint venture for the common development of electro-optical systems and infrared payloads suitable for deployment in space and for unmanned airborne vehicles. The new venture, OHB ELectroOPtics, will focus its marketing efforts on Europe. Financial terms of the joint venture were not disclosed.
