BTBS Wins Key ITV Modernization Deal

BT Broadcast Services (BTBS) was selected by ITV to modernise its broadcast network. BTBS has signed a six-year contract to create a new multimedia network for ITV, exploiting advances in technology to enhance service quality and deliver significant transmission efficiencies.

Mark Smith, managing director of BT Broadcast Services, said, “Over the next few years, the way we consume television content will be very different to the way it has been watched for more than half a century. This new deal will ensure that ITV has the pre-eminent technical expertise and capability to cope with the ever-changing environment and we are looking forward to helping it along that journey.”
