XM Satellite Radio [XMSR] officials today said that the company is launching a 24-hour channel dedicated to Boston traffic and weather. The station (Channel 210) will provide a continuous stream of updated information from an array of sources, including state and local police and fire departments as well as actual travel times and average speeds for major roadways provided by Traffic Pulse technology. Traffic and weather information will be available to XM subscribers at no additional cost.
