Nextel Introduces Mobile Locater Service Using Openwave

Nextel Communications [NXTL] has introduced its new Mobile Locater service using Openwave [OPWV] software and products. The Mobile Locater uses Openwave technology to locate a user’s position from multiple sources that include the Global Positioning System (GPS). The service enables Nextel phones to let small businesses view the locations of their employees on real-time, online maps.
