The U.S. Federal Communications Commission has granted Telenor Satellite Services the authority to use extended Ku-band frequencies over the AMOS 2 satellite from the company’s Southbury, Conn., teleport. Telenor, with the new license, will offer advanced communications services via AMOS 2 between the Middle East and the United States, including delivery of VSAT networks and high-power broadband services suitable for Internet service and content providers, Telenor officials said.
