NSAB, SES Americom Transfer SIRIUS 2 Beam

      SES Americom, a subsidiary of SES Global [Luxembourg: SESG], and Nordic Satellite (NSAB) signed an agreement to transfer on Jan. 1 the pan-European beam on the SIRIUS 2 satellite from SES to NSAB. The beam is composed of thirteen 33 MHz Ku-band BSS (broadcast satellite service) transponders and three 36 MHz Ku- band FSS (fixed satellite service) transponders on SIRIUS 2 located at 5 degrees East Longitude.

      The current customers using the pan-European beam on SIRIUS 2 include BT, Discovery, ntl, Kingston Communications, SIS and Iris Gateways.
