EchoStar Communications [Nasdaq: DISH], an Englewood, Colo.-based satellite TV provider, has named C. Michael Schroeder to its board of directors. With the appointment of Schroeder, the board now has eight members. Schroeder founded Consumer Satellite Systems in 1981.
