Paradise Datacom, a satellite equipment provider with operations in the U.K. and U.S., has chosen San Jose, Calif.-based LynuxWorks to provide software for its next-generation satellite data modems. Financial terms of the deal weren’t disclosed.

LynuxWorks will provide a commercial-grade, embedded operating system (OS) to support the advanced IP connectivity of Paradise Datacom’s satellite modems. LynuxWorks provides operating systems, software development products and consulting services for communications, aerospace/defense and consumer product companies. Paradise Datacom designs and manufactures satellite communication equipment, including satellite modems, transceivers and associated redundancy equipment.
