Kyocera Wireless, a Japanese manufacturer of CDMA wireless handsets, has begun providing GPS-enabled handsets to Venezuelan mobile carriers Telcel and Movilnet. This latest deal is part of a recent expansion of Kyocera in Latin America. Last year, Kyocera recorded a 171 percent sales growth in the region, and a 231 percent increase in shipments.
