Aliant [TSX: AIT], a Saint John, New Brunswick-based telco, has agreed to sell its 53.2 percent ownership interest in Stratos Global [TSX: SGB], a Bethesda, Md.-bases satellite communications company, for C$339.8 million (US$252.2 million) to a syndicate of underwriters led by RBC Capital Markets. The transaction is conditional upon regulatory approvals in Canada and the United States.
