EMS Technologies [Nasdaq: ELMG] has received an authorization to proceed (ATP) on advanced antennas for a new military program currently in production at European satellite manufacturer Astrium. Full contract signature is expected shortly. Financial details were not disclosed.

The antenna for this program is a large deployable helix design with separate receive and transmit elements that provide global coverage. Two shipsets are to be provided with an option for a third set.
