Telenor Satellite Services has unveiled a new satellite-based “e-mail advanced” system that will help cut the cost and improve transmission efficiency through web-based e-mail. The new system helps users reduce e-mail costs by up to 80 percent and features full duplex communications that enables users to send and receive e-mails simultaneously. This new remote e-mail service works with Telenor’s Imarsat A, B, M, Mini-M, Fleet and GAN technologies, while serving maritime and land mobile users. It supports speed up to 64 Kbps for data transmission.
