iDirect, Netdish Team Up

iDirect Technologies, a Vienna, Va.-based bi-directional satellite-based IP broadband access solution provider, and Italian infrastructure network provider Netdish have announced the successful launch of two virtual private networks in Italy that employ IP technology to provide two-way broadband satellite-based communications. The IP-over-satellite networks will serve Ancitel, the Italian municipalities telecommunications association, as well as the island of Sardinia, where the Netdish-iDirect collaboration is enabling a public sector teletraining program for municipal and regional employees.
