Harris Delivers Multiband Satellite Terminals To Marines

Harris Corp. [NYSE: HRS], a Melbourne, Fla.-based multiband satellite communications terminal supplier, has delivered 13 of 28 transit case-configured lightweight multiband satellite terminals (LMST) to the U.S. Marine Corps. The terminals will provide mobile satellite-based voice, video, and data communications connectivity within the battlefield. Under the contract, Harris is responsible for program management, training, depot support and the production for the LMST Block 5 ground terminal program. The terminals provide military X- and Ka-band receive capability for global broadcast system (GBS) operations and commercial C- and Ku-band access to satellite- based communications.
