Washington, D.C.-based satellite radio provider XM Satellite Radio [Nasdaq: XMSR] has named D. Scott Karnedy as senior vice president of sales and marketing solutions. Karnedy previously was senior vice president and director of national sales at Infinity Broadcasting. He began his career 20 years ago in advertising sales for local radio and television, and eventually became responsible for AOL Time Warner‘s [NYSE: AOL] interactive properties’ sales and marketing in both Detroit and the Northeast United States.
