Hughes Network Systems, a subsidiary of Hughes Electronics [NYSE: GMH], has signed a three-year agreement with Canadian satellite operator Telesat to provide technical support for Telesat’s telecommunications and broadcasting services in the Americas. Under the contract, HNS will provide Telesat with network engineering support for Telesat’s six dedicated hubs throughout Canada. Financial terms of the deal weren’t disclosed.
