Alaska’s largest TV station and Anchorage’s NBC affiliate KTUU has purchased Norsat International‘s NewsLink portable satellite terminal. With this purchase, KTUU ends a three-year search to find satellite technology that could be used to gather news in Alaska’s most rugged and remote locations. Norsat technicians traveled to Alaksa in July and successfully tested the NewsLink satellite terminals in several locations including remote areas close to the Arctic Circle.
