Comtech Telecommunications‘ [Nasdaq: CMTL] Tempe, Ariz.-based subsidiary, Comtech EF Data, has received a $1million contract for its high-speed satellite modems from an undisclosed customer.

Comtech officials said the company’s modems can increase the efficiency of a satellite earth station using its turbo product coding technique of forward error correction that reduces both power and spectral occupancy of satellite signals.
