Ariane 5 Launch of Three Satellites Delayed

By Staff Writer | August 12, 2003

Arianespace announced that it is postponing the launch of three satellites aboard an Ariane 5 rocket from its Spaceport in French Guiana from Aug. 28 to Sept. 3. The company said the delay was the result of a request from one of its customers to perform more tests on its satellite. The three spacecraft to be launched are the e-BIRD for Eutelsat, INSAT-3E for the Indian Space Research Organisation, and SMART-1 for the European Space Agency.
