SpaceDev [OTC BB: SPDV] has been awarded a contract to develop micro- and nano-satellite bus and subsystem designs for the U.S. Air Force. This Air Force Research Laboratory Small Business Innovation Research contract will enable SpaceDev to explore the miniaturization of its microsat subsystems. It will also enable SpaceDev to explore ways to reduce the time and cost to build small satellites through further standardization to define de facto standards for payload hardware and software interfaces.
