NTN Leverages New Satellite Platform For Restaurant Chain

NTN Communications [AMEX:NTN] a Carlsbad, Calif.-based provider of interactive communications and entertainment products for the hospitality industry, will offer two-way satellite communication services to Damon’s International, a casual dining restaurant chain.
The agreement marks the introduction and first deployment of new services based on NTN’s enhanced two-way satellite system. Those new services include high-speed IP-based credit card authorization, point-of-sale polling, Internet access and e-mail. NTN also will provide Damon’s with the ability to remotely access and control systems located at restaurants from its corporate headquarters, and a means to conduct Internet-based training from its restaurant locations.
