DaimlerChrysler Chooses Smartnav As Satellite Navigation Option in UK

DaimlerChrysler [NYSE: DCX] has begun offering Smartnav, a satellite navigation system from Trafficmaster, as an approved accessory in the United Kingdom on its Voyager, Grand Voyager, Cherokee, Grand Cherokee and PT Cruiser models.
DaimlerChrysler customers will be able to receive a satellite navigation system that incorporates Trafficmaster’s live, incident, historic and predictive traffic data to calculate routes and guide drivers around traffic delays, as well as its integrated safety camera alert that warns drivers as they enter monitored zones and its stolen vehicle tracking and recovery service.
