Wavesat Wireless, a manufacturer of microwave network products, has signed an agreement with BIP Corp. of San Diego, to supply satellite amplifiers estimated at approximately $1.2 million. The equipment will be incorporated in a satellite network linking the headquarters and offices of the Central Bank of Russia.

The new L- to Ku-band transceiver modules of Wavesat are designed for use primarily in VSAT applications. The input/output IF band ranges from 950 MHz to 1450MHz while the output RF frequency band of the system operates in standard Ku-band from 14 to 14.5GHz.
