Federal District Court Judge Lourdes G. Baird has rejected a summary judgment motion filed by DirecTV seeking to prevent claims by the National Rural Telecommunications Cooperative (NRTC) and Bala Cynwd, Pa.-based Pegasus Communications [Nasdaq: PGTV] from moving ahead in court.

As a result of Friday’s ruling by Judge Baird, Pegasus and NRTC will be able to go to trial next month regarding their charges that DirecTV breached obligations to provide them with premium programming, launch fees and advanced services.
