KVH Industries [Nasdaq: KVHI] and Inmarsat have partnered to provide marine access to the Internet, e-mail and company networks at broadband speeds with the release of KVH’s Velocity Acceleration data-rate upgrade, which provides 300 percent to 500 percent increases in data speed for the Inmarsat Fleet service.

The Velocity Acceleration data rate upgrade boosts the Fleet service’s mobile integrated services digital network and mobile packet data service data rates from high-speed 64 kilobits per second (Kbps) to broadband-level 200 Kbps to 300 Kbps.
