Maqsat, a Dutch satellite communications provider, has joined the Europe*Star gateway program. The program, consisting of network providers, national telecom providers and independent teleport operations, provides access to Europe*Star’s satellites.

Using the Europe*Star 1 satellite at 45 degrees East, Maqsat will be able to expand its Internet and voice services in the Middle East and East Asia. Maqsat provides services to governmental and financial institutions, nongovernmental organizations, and corporate customers in the regions.
