Integral Systems To Develop Diagnostics for Missile Defense Satellites
Integral Systems [Nasdaq: ISYS] has been awarded a contract from Northrop Grumman Space Systems in Azusa, Calif., to develop the SBIRS- High Payload Diagnostic System, a high-Earth orbiting component of the U.S. Air Force‘sSpace Based Infrared System, a fleet of satellites that will become the primary initial warning system for ballistic missile attacks.
The system is based on Integral’s EPOCH 2000 command and control software product line, which is for satellite and payload integration, testing, and mission operations. When completed, the payload diagnostic system will monitor the satellite’s instrument payload to determine its performance, detect anomalies, and when necessary generate corrective actions.
