Miramar, Fla.-based Maritime Telecommunications Network (MTN) signed a three-year agreement with Louis Cruise Lines to provide VSAT communications onboard the vessel, Thomson Spirit.

Under the agreement, MTN will provide Louis Cruise Lines with the sophisticated equipment and services it needs to offer the Thomson Spirit global communications, including the ability to send and receive essential data from the most remote locations. MTN’s communications capabilities include shore-to-ship calling, Internet and fax. In addition, MTN’s Digital Seas Internet Café will provide fast and secure Internet access to passengers and crew for news, stock market updates and e-mail, company officials said.
