Rockwell Collins’ [NYSE: COL] high-speed satellite communications (satcom) system has received Federal Aviation Administration certification for use on aircraft manufactured by Bombardier Aerospace.

The Collins HST-900 systems provides in-flight passenger connectivity, including access to e-mail and the Internet. Designed as a companion to the Collins SAT-906 satellite communications system, the HST-900 provides high-speed connectivity using Inmarsat‘s Swift64 service.
