Globecomm Systems [Nasdaq:GCOM], a Hauppauge, N.Y.-based provider of satellite-based products, landed a $4.2 million turnkey direct-to-home infrastructure contract from an unidentified U.S. customer. Under the terms of the contract, Globecomm will provide multiple 9-meter earth stations, related RF subsystems, a transportable earth station and a network management system.

Globecomm will also be responsible for the integration, installation and test of the entire project, which will be carried out in two phases. Phase one will be completed by Sept. 30, and phase two by Dec. 31.
