Pioneer Hi-Bred International is launching a GPS device based on FieldWorker Products software to help growers with crop management. Pioneer agronomists will use this system to capture field-scouting observations using handheld PCs equipped with GPS receivers.

The handheld PCs used in the Pioneer system also will be equipped with electronic form and database software from FieldWorker Products. Pioneer has developed a suite of field applications and flexible forms used to collect and share crop and pest data each time a Pioneer field sales agronomist steps into a customer’s field.
