Integral Systems [Nasdaq: ISYS] subsidiary RT Logic has won a follow-on contract with the U.S. Air Force Research Laboratory to supply portable universal ground processing units for use in satellite communications.

During the initial phase of the contract, the units performance requirements were defined and various system configurations evaluated. The units could be used to perform tracking, telemetry and control (TT&C) functions for the Department of Defense, civil and commercial satellite ground station applications. As a part of the Phase II award, a fully functional prototype will be fielded that integrates these TT&C functions with a modular, multi-band frequency conversion capability which allows operation in virtually any frequency spectrum.
