Motorola [NYSE: MOT] reached an out-of-court settlement that covers all five remaining lawsuits filed against the company by Chase Manhattan Bank due to the financial failure of Iridium LLC, a global satellite voice service that ultimately went bankrupt.

Under the agreement, Motorola would pay Chase and Iridium’s secured lenders an additional amount of approximately $12 million to resolve five remaining legal disputes with the lenders. The pact covers pending claims by Chase, the agent for defunct Iridium’s secured lenders, and by Motorola that involved an $800 million senior secured credit agreement.
