Global Positioning System servicesprovider FleetBoss Global Positioning Solutions has been granted use and ownership of the slogan, “We Are GPS,” by the U.S. Patent Office.
GPS technology is used in applications ranging from handheld devices for recreation, to complex tracking and mapping applications used by business, industry and agriculture. The service mark should help the company’s marketing efforts to capture that opportunity, said FleetBoss President Brian Carroll.
FleetBoss (Fern Park, Fla.) provides GPS products used to monitor and manage fleet vehicles on local, regional or nationwide scales. The company’s software improves the efficiency and overhead cost of fleet ownership by identifying and monitoring vehicular events and activities such as speeding, unauthorized use, asset under-utilization, unnecessary idling, time at the job site and miles driven, company officials said.
